Northland, properly covered
We service the entire Northland region - Whangarei and its suburbs, the Tutukaka Coast, Bream Bay from Ruakaka to Waipu, the Bay of Islands, and the Far North past Kaitaia. Fifty-five towns and suburbs, named individually.
The van is a fitted workshop. It carries key blanks, cutting and programming equipment and a wide range of locks, which is what lets us finish the great majority of jobs on the first visit rather than booking a second one.
What we do
One locksmith for every lock you own
Homes, businesses, vehicles and holiday lets. The same van and the same technician deal with all of it.
Car keys & transponders
Lost every key? We cut and program transponder, remote and push-to-start keys at the vehicle, for 25 makes. No tow, no dealership booking.
02Home security
Rekeys after a move or a tenancy, deadbolts, window locks, keyless entry, and the sliding doors that Northland salt air stiffens.
03Business & access control
Master key systems, restricted keys that cannot be copied, access control and door closers - for shops, offices, schools and yards.
04Airbnb & holiday lets
Stop driving out to hand over a key. Lockboxes, keypads and smart locks with codes you set and expire from anywhere.
05Digital & smart locks
Keypads, fingerprint and app-controlled locks supplied and fitted, with a straight answer about which ones are worth the money.
06Key cutting & spares
House, car, padlock and window keys cut at your door from the van, including the odd ones nobody else can match.
Why it matters who you call
A lock is only as good as the person who fitted it
If you have seen the stories, you will know the trade has a problem: people advertising as locksmiths with no training, whose whole model is to quote low over the phone and then charge a great deal more once they are standing at your door.
- Master Locksmiths AssociationQualified technicians, with knowledge passed down from some of the best locksmiths in the country.
- The price, before we startAgreed with you up front. No quoting low on the phone and inflating it at the door.
- We repair before we replaceWhere a lock can be serviced or rekeyed rather than thrown away, we will tell you. It is usually cheaper and it keeps the original hardware.

Car keys
All keys lost, need a spare?
It is the question we are asked most, and the answer is yes - usually where the car is standing rather than on the back of a tow truck.
Our technicians cut and program transponder keys, remote keyless entry keys, fobs and push-to-start proximity keys using current equipment. We open locked vehicles without the window going through it, extract keys snapped in an ignition, and cut a spare before the day comes when you need one.
A spare cut today costs a fraction of a lost-all-keys job. Once the last key is gone the work is considerably bigger, and so is the bill. If your car has one key and one key only, that is the job to book.
How it works
Three steps, and no mystery in any of them
You will speak to a locksmith rather than a call centre, and you will know what it costs before anyone sets out.

Tell us where you are and what has happened - and for a car, the make, model and year.

We tell you what the job needs and what it will cost before anyone leaves. If it is not a job for us, we will say so rather than come out and find out.

Questions
Questions people ask us
If yours is not here, ring and ask - we would rather answer it than have you guess.
Do you cover the whole of Northland?
Yes. We are a mobile service covering Northland end to end - Whangarei and its suburbs, the Tutukaka Coast, Bream Bay from Ruakaka, One Tree Point and Marsden Cove to Waipu Cove, the Bay of Islands from Paihia and Russell to Kerikeri, the Mid North and the Far North up past Kaitaia. There are 55 towns and suburbs listed here, and if yours is not on the list it is almost certainly still within reach. Ring and ask.
Will you tell me what it costs before you start?
Always. You get a price before any work begins, so there are no surprises when the job is done. If we cannot help, we will say so rather than charge you to find out.
Can you make a car key if I have lost every one?
In most cases, yes, and on site. Our technicians cut and program transponder keys, remote keyless entry keys, fobs and push-to-start proximity keys for 25 makes. You will need to show proof that the vehicle is yours, along with photo ID - that is standard for any locksmith and it is what stops your car being opened by somebody else.
Do I have to bring my car or my lock to you?
No. The van is the workshop. We carry key blanks, cutting and programming equipment and a wide range of locks and hardware, so the great majority of jobs are finished on the first visit, wherever you happen to be.
How do I know a locksmith is legitimate?
Get the price agreed before anyone starts work, and be wary of a phone quote that sounds far lower than everyone else's. The industry has a real problem with unqualified operators who quote low over the phone and then charge a great deal more once they are at your door. We are members of the Master Locksmiths Association, and we tell you the price before we begin.
